WELCOME NEW PREACHER, ARTCEL RUIZ, L.P.A.

I was born and raised in the Philippines and grew up in the United Methodist Church in Manila. When my family moved to San Diego, we became longtime members of First United Methodist Church of Chula Vista, where our faith and community continued to deepen.

I earned my B.S. in Communication from Indiana Wesleyan University and later completed my Master of Divinity at Claremont School of Theology. I have been married to my husband, Frank, for 30 years, and we are grateful parents to our two children, Justin and Jianna.

When I’m not working, you’ll often find me reading, watching movies or plays, spending time with friends at local coffee shops, walking in nature, or traveling.
